Who are we ?
My French Story was created by two high school best friends, Perle and Samia. Both passionate with travel and languages. They decided to create an association of French tutors when they moved to Australia. The aim was to gather a team of French native speakers all around Melbourne to provide quality French lessons in Melbourne with a special emphasis on high school students. Most of My French Story tutors are French assistant in Victorian schools. A French assistant is a native French speaker, selected by the Australian Government to spend a year or more in Australian schools to teach French and share the French Culture. French assistants help and assist French teachers in primary and secondary schools. It is a great opportunity for schools because students get to work in small groups or individually.Throughout the years, My French Story helped many Australians improve their French and get ready for their French exams (French VCE, French IB). We will be more than happy to help you reach your goal and write your own French Story….
Meet the Team !
Perle Mboyo (Founder of My French Story)
I was born in Paris, France, where I studied English and American History at Paris Diderot University. After graduated, I started a master in San Francisco, where I taught French to University students. After this amazing experience, I decided to continue exploring the world and moved to Melbourne to teach French. I am currently a French language assistant at Wesley College and Camberwell High School.
I am a huge fan of cinema and drama. I always make sure to add role plays in my teaching method. Students practice their oral skills and they always have fun dressing up.
Samia Aoudj (Co Founder of My French Story)
I was born in Paris, France, where I studied Communication at the Sorbonne University. After graduating last year with a Master degree with honours, I decided to spread the French culture around the world and moved to Melbourne.
Passionate about all things French, I started teaching French 3 years ago to foreign students in Paris. I loved teaching my own language and decided to continue this amazing adventure in Melbourne with the creation of our own french tutors association.
Reading is my favorite hobby when I have free time along with drawing. Expressing my own creativity is important for me so I make sure all my students’ needs are being understood.
